Phase 2: Acquisitions

Once again, I apologize for taking so darned long to write this. First I couldn't get started, then I couldn't stop.

I must admit, this is the longest creative bit that I've done in a while.
I have to admit that I'm not entirely happy with it. But I don't think there's much else I can do with it, so here it is.

Regardless of my misgivings, I hope you enjoy this installment.
